Well, it took some effort, but it seems that politicians in the state of Missouri may have finally gotten the message. After a public outcry and a lawsuit regarding a law making it illegal for teachers "friend" of students and alumni in social networks, as well as a trial and an injunction by a court ruled that the law is a "astounding" violation of the First Amendment, the Senate of Missouri changed the law in question for teachers and students virtual friends again. The bill must still be approved by the House, but cleans up the controversial bill. Schools are still required to have "political" student-teacher communication, but not all have to limit such activities
