Funding for "big science" is subject to all sorts of political whims, then maybe it is time to strengthen the efforts of small scientific projects could still contribute to the scientific knowledge of the world. (And, hopefully, citizen scientists do not lose too much time and resources on perpetual motion machines or homeopathic remedies.) citizen scientists have presented draft Scistarter for a contest earlier this year, and the grand prize was a device that creates water fuel. Not exactly a Mr. Fusion, but water decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen is still an orderly demonstration. [URL]
