postheadericon House Judiciary Committee Refuses To Hear Wider Tech Industry Concerns About SOPA

SOUP, who had heard that a Hearing Committee of the Judicial Chamber on the bill unfairly stacked deck. Despite this general opposition to the bill, and the fact that this represents a huge change in the regulatory framework and technology of the Internet, we were told repeatedly that the public would have three representatives for the law, and one against. Apparently the supporters of the bill are simply too afraid to really listen to the concerns of many and must surround himself with "Yes Men" to think they are doing the right thing.

is that the covers are even more stacked.

Today we hear that the head of NetCoalition, which many people expected to account for technology in general and the major concerns of industry on the Internet SOPA was

refused

a seat at the hearing. This is the same group that was demanding a seat at the negotiating table from the beginning, and was rejected by the MPAA and their supporters. Even us, we hear rumors that are now four representatives for the soup, and no one to represent the broader concerns of the Internet industry is about to be regulated. Instead, the committee is looking for someone who does not raise some concerns about plans to close.
I think I have one simple question: What are the Congressmen Lamar Smith, John Conyers and Bob Goodlatte fear? Are they really so fragile that it can not handle the idea that the Internet industry in general is very concerned about this bill? You should listen to those who helped draft the bill in the first place? What kind of democracy is that
