postheadericon MPAA Pretends To Capitulate On SOPA, Will Offer Changes For 'Legitimate Concerns'

It's not worth mentioning, but make some new, so let's emphasize that. The point man soup MPAA / PIPA, Michael O'Leary, told reporters today that he is ready to "moderate" the law in response to the "legitimate concerns" raised:
"We will present a language that will address some legitimate concerns" of technology companies that have opposed the law to stop online piracy in the House protect intellectual property and a similar bill in the Senate, said Mr. O'Leary.

First, this is not new. Rep. Lamar Smith, the official sponsor of the bill had already been recorded with the same exact phrase ". Legitimate concerns "The thing is that what they consider" legitimate concerns "are basically none of the concerns that many people were raised.
The most important of all is the open admission that the MPAA is drafting the bill. We have seen some reports going around that the defenders of the law continue to insist "this bill is written by Hollywood," but in the quote above above, one can see that O'Leary is confirming that the MPAA is always the language. The NYTimes report that point even clearer:
He told those who were pushing for laws against piracy reaches crowded with staff members of Congress from both parties and both houses of Congress in recent days in an effort to answer some objections raised by Google, Yahoo and others who say the bills go too far.

is not included in the discussions? That's right. Anyone who has raised objections. How the hell are the concerns, or people who understand the care? The answer is no, and all a sham. O'Leary also says that most people feel the technology is not yet satisfied, which is essentially an admission that does not care about the concerns. From there begins to invent things:
"It's all rhetoric and no proposal," the position staked out by opponents to the bills. "From where I sit, it is difficult to see as anything other than an excuse to hang out and preserve the status quo. "
The thing is, O'Leary
