Shockingly Unshocking: Two Congressional Staffers Who Helped Write SOPA/PIPA Become Entertainment Industry Lobbyists
HalataeiAllison, former deputy chief of staff member and the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Lamar Smith (R-Texas), and Pastarnack Lauren, a Republican who served as One of the main contributors to the Senate Judiciary Committee, worked on the bills of piracy on the Internet to push Internet companies like Google, Yahoo and Facebook to shut down sites offering illegal copies of hit movies and songs than table.
Pastarnack went to the MPAA, where it will be "Director of Government Relations" and the NMPA Halataei (music publishers and composers) to be "chief liaison to Capitol Hill . "The political history linked above notes that this type of" revolving door "is very common. It can not be directly corrupt, but the public insurancecorrupt. Probably liberates the appearance of "hey, we write the crazy project we want, and then we reward you with a great job paid well at ease." At least, it should raise serious questions as to whether these two bills were drafted with the public interest in mind (I know, I know, do not laugh ....) or their future employers. Technically, none of them can not support directly to the specific committee that worked, but they can help in the process.

"They can provide valuable information for people abroad - even in the polling mode," said a lobbyist for the technology industry, and noted that he had been Halataei Occasions person knows how Smith R-Texas, and think it would be an effective advocacy strategy.
