postheadericon Public Opposition Accelerates As Latest Anti-SOPA Petition Hits Goal In Two Days

is that there is no real public concern about the legislation. They like to say that only those who benefit from piracy really want to block this bill. However, we see again and again that's not true. With letter-writing campaigns by groups like the EFF, Public Knowledge and Progress of the application that generated hundreds of thousands of letters, emails and phone calls from concerned citizens, the pro-SOPA had to use an inflation significant for the defense. We now have further evidence that the widespread opposition to the soup is not only growing but also the acceleration. The proof is in the form of two petitions us on the website of the White House.

The first of these applications, entitled "Stop E-parasite law" has created new October 31, when Soup was known as E-parasites. The request been gaining signatures for two weeks, then had an outpouring of support when the House Judiciary Committee held its hearing stacked in the legislation. On November 16, the petition has reached its goal of 25,000 signatures, a total of 14 days before the deadline.

Fast forward to December 18. Just days after the House Judiciary Committee held its markup soup, a new application to the surface, "soup veto the bill and other bills that threaten the future to reduce the free flow of information. "With the new brand in the minds of those who oppose the soup, this application has reached its goal of 25,000 signatures December 19, the second day after public. This is quite an achievement.

If there is no real concern about the public SOUP as supporters of the bill claim that these people are why both mobilized to execute and do it before the deadline for petitions not one but two at the White House in opposition to the law? No matter which they or their reasons for opposing the soup, one thing is clear, they want action and answers. Although there is no deadline for the Obama administration will respond, a thing is clear, the soup is a hot topic and try to break the Congress can not ignore public opinion for long.
