suffering from exhaustion elections? You're not alone. Too bad for the thousands of journalists dedicated to covering all stages of the "road of November", and the mountain of reports that comes with each presidential statement during the debate season, these same journalists at the same time bring their attention on only 90 minutes content. The flood of content that is broadcast every battle is overwhelming. Intro:. # Smarttakes, your guide to make sense of what comes out of the drawing room
In the coming weeks, we will be fighting for the comment, better analysis and reporting on the discussions. Whenever we find something new, we will add here and at the end of the fourth round, we hope to have a useful guide for understanding the debates in 2012. But given the amount of things there, there is no way we can do it alone. We need your help. Tweet us your recommendations using # smarttakes or throw them in the comments and give you credit.

claims abortion and Afghanistan Look closer, David E Sanger, New York Times via @ Ruths
In the debate, Mr. Ryan submitted his own views on abortion Romney. Mr. Ryan is opposed to abortion in all circumstances. He was one of the sponsors of the legislation to prevent federal funds are used for abortion, even in cases of rape, incest or danger to the life of the mother. They also voted in favor of the law on the protection of life, which gives hospitals the right to refuse abortion for pregnant women who die. - October 12, 2012
Why Mitt Romney again pick Paul Ryan? - McKay Coppins, via @ BuzzFeed StuartMillar159
The debate took place - with Vice President Joe Biden repeatedly cut, and Ryan talk about specific questions about the bold plan of budget cuts at home - it was nothing like the student cross-fest many Republicans should it months ago. - October 12, 2012
missing eight key issues in the debate so far - David A Graham, The Atlantic
- gay marriage to employment, to the Federal Reserve for Women's Health, the candidates have avoided some of the most important issues which the United States. But time is running out: the last debate on foreign policy, which means that there is only one opportunity to discuss next week to force Obama and Romney to address these issues. - October 12, 2012

illusion
U.S. presidential debates of political choice, Glenn Greenwald, The Guardian
more of what matters in American politics is nowhere to be found in the national election debates. Penal policies clearly illustrate this point. United States imprisons more of its citizens than any other nation on earth, by far, including countries with much larger populations. As the New York Times in April 2008: "The United States has less than 5% of the world's population, but nearly a quarter of the world's prisoners.". - October 4, 2012
