New Hampshire Politicians Want To Make 'Satellite View' On Maps A Criminal Offense
A person is guilty of a misdemeanor class A if the person knowingly creates or allows you to create an image of the exterior of a residential dwelling in this state in establishment by the image or using a satellite, drone or any other device that is not supported by the floor. This prohibition does not apply when the image does not reveal the means of identification, such as human or artificial objects.
If you think it would be a crime (which is still a crime ...) people to work on things like Mapquest Maps, Google Maps and Bing - which have all views "antenna" (often called "satellite", although some are also assisted by plane) - to exist, and even then you have a point. Besides, I do not know about you, but I took a lot of pictures through an airplane window, you certainly have included images of residential buildings showed the "recognizable forms ... objects made by man. "
This seems to be extreme view that" private life "should be ignoring the fact that a view Air your house is not just a matter of privacy. I agree, of course, the story that led to the invention of the "Streisand effect" in which Barbra Streisand sued a photographer to take an aerial photo of your house, in a project to photograph the entire California coast from a helicopter (to study the impact of erosion). It was crazy to think of it as a violation of privacy, and the court has clearly recognized sided photographers Streisand.
And apparently, many other courts have said that a photograph of a person's residence is perfectly legal:
