HOA President Receives Public Criticism; Responds With Baseless Claims And Empty Legal Threats
lesson that many have failed to learn ...), writer angry email today (and calls) is president (and treasurer) [and the legal representative] of Stonecreek Homeowners Association Arbor, located in Indiana County Vandenburgh.
Evansville Courier & Press recently wrote a long article about HOAs and how they can vary greatly in quality, if this is the case let you do Wondering where your money goes to services in your area are micro-dictatorships left disgruntled residents.
The HOA in the center of this story is called Stonecreek Arbors in Vandenburgh County Indiana. According to the document, Stonecreek Homeowners Association was responsible for more than half of all foreclosures filed in the county last year. Many of these privileges were paying HOA fees worth a little over $ 200.
The 49 links submitted by the HOA results in a little less than 1/6 of the total housing subdivision.
Anyone who is even slightly familiar with HOAs know it will be almost impossible to find an article written flattering about these arrogant intermediate / micromanagers are inserted between homeowners and their possessions. (At least one that is not written by members of the Association Council ...) Why are so many of these associations, it is a mystery, given that most people do not like to have arbitrary rules and restrictions on something purchased. DRM is like housing.
said Stonecreek Arbor was like any other homeowners association that becomes news. Excessive fees. Prohibitions abrupt a manner strictly parkable rather became a member of the private road HOA Board of Directors and the lake. Demanding animals be microchipped, even if the current "rules" did not wording to that effect. And so on.
Evansville Courier section detailing these crimes, starting with a photo of the entrance to the subdivision, you skillfully Stonecreek sported the name so that nobody misunderstandthat HOA
currently abusing its members. Shortly after the release (and after a brief interview with the president of the HOA Stephen Hess - caught "on tape" consumerist), Evansville Courier & Press received this email from Hess.
"[T] his opinion also requires that any measure says nothing about my name, any resident of Stonecreek, and we do not allow any of his impressions in a Article Stonecreek almost any time and in any publication ... You are responsible for any breach of this letter and warning / request in this e-mail. If we find / discover that you mentioned Stonecreek on any matter its legal (sic) is the action for himself and any type of paper to represent you in the newspaper article.
