postheadericon President Obama Does Take Some Challenging Questions, But Leaves Many Aside

Already said that President Obama gave his Google Hangout today, and surprisingly admitted that patent trolls are a problem. It is interesting to note that he sent some tough questions directly on arms control, immigration and the lack of transparency (in particular drones). Oh, and also whether or not we would still have a penny (President Obama said: "I do not know"). This was in fact the most popular question that people voted, compiled by Derek Khanna more Townhall.com.

President Obama, more or less avoided the question about drones - except to insist that had not been used drones to attack people in the United States States and the rules are different in other places. Also continued to insist that their government is the most transparent in history, thanks to things like visitor records white house released publicly. This is, of course, is only a small part of the transparency, and it is clear that the government is absolutely lacking in a number of different issues of transparency (and is particularly shocking to meet the demands of the Freedom of Information Act).

What is disappointing, however, is that many of the most important questions to ask me such a list (including the issue of copyright we mentioned, despite being the votes eighth most popular question). Obviously, there is only a limited amount of time, and in fact I think Obama has done a pretty good job actually answered the questions with a little more depth than I expected. It was not as deep, but it was not as deep as I expected. And at least gave him a chance to hear some specific questions on these topics. Fortunately, he decided to do more than once a year, so that some of these issues can be effectively raised.

As a side note, I've seen people complain about the past issues that were more "personal" in nature, even if I did not think it was so serious. Yes, perhaps we could say it took time away from some of these serious issues, but there is something to say about it at least a little personality to come through these discussions. I thought the funniest thing was that when John Green (the vlogbrothers and DFTBA Records) asked the President to help name his son expected, the president refused, joking that if they ruled against it could affect the child for the rest of his life - but I notice that they must ensure that the child "do not forget to be awesome" (which is DFTBA). Obviously, it was a little DFTBA saved, but still a nice touch
